Thomas Driscoll Biography
A former Connecticut cop died after being shot and killed by a man on the Las Vegas Strip.

I know him from college, ”his friend Peter Kennedy told the WGGB about his old friend Thomas Driscoll. “We went to Holyoke Community College, then Westfield State, and before him I took the state trooper course, and we’ve been friends from the beginning and throughout our careers.
On Sunday morning, while on vacation in Las Vegas, Driscoll was shot and killed on the Las Vegas Strip after being beaten up by 33-year-old Brandon Leath, citing a police report, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal. Police believe Leath taunted Driscoll while he was crossing the Strip with a woman. Eventually the couple had a fight that turned out to be physical.
Driscoll was passed unconscious and taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reportedly witnessed the clashes in crime chambers in real time and rushed to arrest Leath for murder, KTNV reports.
Driscoll was a Connecticut State Police Officer for 22 years. He retired in 2009.
Information from Leath’s attorney was not available Wednesday.
