MPs arrested a suspect, Rajeev Kumaraswamy, accused of killing his father during an argument at his Forsyth County home.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said MPs were called to Block 3900 on Homestead Ridge Drive after a shooting was reported just before 6 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators say they discovered the incident began when 25-year-old Rajeev Kumaraswamy had an argument with his father, Sadashivia Kumaraswamy. During the discussion, officials said that Rajeev Kumaraswamy went to his room, took a gun and shot his father several times.
Doctors pronounced Sadashivia Kumaraswamy dead at the scene.
The MPs accused Rajeev Kumaraswamy of murder. He is currently being held in the Forsyth County Jail without bond.
