Athens-Clarke County police issued warrants for the arrest of a man accused of a deadly hit-and-run involving a 20-year-old girl.
As the University of Georgia community continues to mourn the death of a 20-year-old student, Athens-Clarke County Police are searching for the man accused of killing her in a car accident on Saturday, authorities announced.
Police identified Donterris Gresham, 29, of Athens as the suspect in the death of Ariana Tsarses, said police spokesman, police lieutenant colonel. Shaun Barnett on Monday. Police believe Gresham was driving a Honda Accord that struck and killed 20-year-old Ariana Zarse around midnight Saturday while crossing Broad Street, east of Foundry Street.
Zarse was hospitalized but died from her injuries. She was walking with a friend, who was not hit, police said.
