Police say a man died in a crash that split a car into two in Copiague.
A Copiague man was killed early Saturday morning when Suffolk police said he crashed into a tree.
Police said Reny Cruz-Puente, 21, was driving a 2004 Honda Acura TSX, heading south on Deauville Boulevard in Copiague around 1:15 a.m., when he went off the road near Kenmore Road and collided with a tree.wikipedia
He was ejected from the car and taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Officers say rescue teams started CPR on Cruz-Puente, but he was unresponsive and rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
