Who is the man? (Patrick Hutchinson)
The man who lifted the protester was soon identified as Patrick Hutchinson, a personal trainer and grandfather.
Hutchinson has since spoken to Channel 4 in the UK about the decision to go to protests and the events going on the photo.
“I had no plans to go there [protests],” he said.
“I was looking at my grandchildren at home and my friend said: ‘We should protect women and children and prevent these young men from encountering any problems.”

A group of men, including Patrick Hutchinson (carrying the man), helped an injured man who allegedly attacked some of the protesters at Southbank near the Waterloo station in London, England, on June 13, 2020.
At that moment, he said he did not think that the man could be a counter-protester or carry prejudices, but that he was trying to safely remove him. More than 100 people were arrested on Saturday’s London protests after violence broke out as far-right groups targeted BLM protests. CNN could not independently verify what the man injured in the protest was doing or why he was there before the incident. CNN has not yet been able to detect the injured protester.
“If the other three police officers who were standing around when George Floyd was murdered had thought about intervening like what we did, George Floyd would be alive today.”

What happened exactly?
During the weekend, hundreds of protesters from the far-right groups and the Black Life Item movement gathered for separate shows in London.
While some extreme right-wing protesters tried to use metal crash barriers to break the police lines, the police were punched, kicked and hit with bottles.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson condemned the conflicts as “racist thugs,” while London Mayor Sadiq Khan called people to “stay away”.
“It is clear that far-right groups have caused violence and disorder in central London,” Twitter said.
The Actually behind the image of Patrick Hutchinson
Hutchinson, protestoların şiddete dönüşmesinin “korkutucu” bir an olduğunu söyledi.
