Laurie Bostic was arrested on Saturday for evading arrest.
“Officers were able to pull her off the road, where she struck a fence, disabling her tractor,” the department said in a statement about the unusual arrest.
A mugshot released by the Rockwall Police Department showed a bloody Bostic, with a cut nose, wrapped in a towel and looking less than excited.
It is not clear how she suffered that injury.
Bostic’s motives are still unclear, according to Rockwall authorities, though she has made headlines across the United States and brought her town parade far more attention than she would have gained without the unauthorized appearance of her.
