Kay Guarrera Biography
Kay Guarrera is the wife of Marvelous Marvin Hagler, an American professional boxer and film actor who competed in boxing from 1973 to 1987. On March 13, 2021, Hagler’s wife, Kay, announced that Hagler had died unexpectedly in her New Hampshire home, at age 66, two months before her 67th birthday.

Kay Guarrera married Hagler in 2002, a decade after separating from his first wife, Bertha Hagler. A 1987 article in the Washington Post reported that her wife, Bertha, sought judicial protection from her husband and custody of her children. Bertha Hagler appeared in Hingham District Court, where Bertha Hagler accused her then-husband of abusing her.
Hagler had five children with his first wife, Bertha: Charelle, Celeste, James, Marvin Jr., and Gentry.
Marvin and Kay seemed very much in love every time they were seen in public. He always made sure to make red carpet appearances with his wife and even after 21 years of marriage, the love did not fade.

A sad news post appeared on Saturday on Hagler’s official fan club page on Facebook, reading … “Sorry to make a very sad announcement. Today, sadly, my loving husband Marvelous Marvin passed away unexpectedly at his home here in New Hampshire. Our family asks that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. ”
The note was signed by his wife, Kay. The exact circumstances of his death were not disclosed, however Thomas Hearns, a former professional boxer, posted on Instagram that Marvin Hagler was in ICU “fighting the aftermath of the Covid-19 vaccine.” His post did not mention which brand of Covid-19 vaccine he had received.
