Who is Kashif Anwar ?
A MAN first appeared for murder following the death of a Pudsey woman in Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh.
Kashif Anwar, 27, did not appeal during his appearance in Edinburgh Sheriff’s Court today following the incident last Thursday.
Fawziyah Javed, 31, of Pudsey, was on the old Arthur’s Seat volcano, located in Holyrood Park and offering panoramic views of Edinburgh Thursday night when he fell from the hill.
Police and ambulance services were called to the scene around 9:00 p.m., but Ms. Javed died instantly.
Anwar has been charged and he is expected to appear in court again within the next eight days.
He was charged with death on Saturday.
It has been locally alleged that Ms Javed was on her honeymoon in Edinburgh after getting married last Sunday when she died.
Police said in a statement Saturday that her family had asked for her privacy after her death.
