Detectives from the Crime Specialist Command continue to investigate the fatal stabbing. Tia Rek-Williams, 21, a teacher who lives nearby, said the incident had been “traumatizing.” She said: “I didn’t see the initial stabbing, but I did see past the point where the boy was on the ground.
“They said ‘come on, you only have 30 seconds, she holds on, she keeps fighting, and as they said that, I saw her hand fall and her eyes closed. She was so traumatizing. ”
Ms. Rek-Williams said that emergency services arrived about 30 seconds later and that the boy had been treated with a defibrillator. About six people had tried to help the boy as neighbors left their homes and gathered on the road, she said.
She added: “It happened in broad daylight, a 15-year-old boy, there are so many cameras.
“It just shows that nothing can stop these people from doing these things. This happened literally in the middle of the street, not in an alley, in front of people’s houses. It is just awful. Hillingdon Police Commander Chief Superintendent Peter Gardner said: “I am deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of a child’s life to the knife crime in Hillingdon.
“This incident, which claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy, took place during the school day this morning.” A family has been devastated and the effects of this terrible incident will reverberate in our communities.
“As the parent of a teenager, I cannot imagine the pain the family is going through and offer our condolences and support. He added that police patrols in the area will be intensified.
