Graeme Edge and the Moody Blues
The Moody Blues recorded music between 1964 and 2003
“Graeme and his parents were very nice to me when I first joined the group, and for the first two years he and I lived together or side by side,” Hayward said.
“We had fun and laughed all the time, as well as making what was probably the best music of our lives.”
“When Denny Laine left, it almost broke the band,” Edge told Rolling Stone in 2018. “We had to get a new lead vocalist and [bassist] John [Lodge] came in. That’s when we started to reorganize and rethink our address.”
“In the late sixties we became the group that Graeme always wanted us to be, and he was called upon to be a poet and a drummer,” added Hayward. “He delivered it beautifully and brilliantly as he created an atmosphere and a setting that music would never have achieved without his words.”
