Who is Elena Anghel?

Arrest
She was initially arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of the five-year-old boy, before being sectioned.
The young man was found with a fatal stab wound at his house, where Anghel was taking care of him.
She often babysat the child while her parents worked, her friends said.
A close friend of the family confirmed to Sun Online: “The grandmother was the one who was arrested. The mother was at work when it happened, and her husband was too.”
“She was the last person to see the child.
“No one can understand how she came to have a knife in her hand. We just don’t know why.”
Death
When I met her she was always fine. She never showed signs of mental illness.
Anghel was well known to the locals in Earlsdon.
A friend recounted her shock at what happened, saying, “I have known Elena for many years. I let my daughter stay with her when my wife and I left her.”

Mario’s bereaved parents, Cristina and Dorinel, today paid tribute to his little girl, who is believed to have been cared for by his grandmother at the time of his death.

Statement
His devastated parents said in a statement: “Our son, he was the most beautiful boy in the world. He was a very happy boy.
“He was always smiling from when he woke up until he went to sleep. He had so much energy. He loved to dance and sing.
“He is all our hearts, all our love and he is everything to both of us.”

Yesterday, heartbroken family members told The Sun: “Mario was a very happy boy. The happiest boy I’ve ever seen.
“He wasn’t a problem, ever. He was a good boy.
He “loved going to school, learning and developing skills and talking about his classmates. He was a bright kid.
“His parents are devastated.”
Police were seen yesterday doing fingerprint searches on the street between the store and where she found the boy.
A dog-walking neighbor also told The Sun that she heard “screams” and “screams” before police showed up at the house a short time later.
Emergency services were called to Poplar Road in Earlsdon shortly before 6 p.m. m. on Tuesday.
A 49-year-old woman was arrested and taken in for questioning on suspicion of murder.
Investigation

“Our specialist officers are supporting his parents and we cannot understand the pain they must feel. Our thoughts are with them.
“David-Mario’s school has been informed and they are communicating with the parents and caregivers of his students. The community is shocked and saddened by the death of this young man.
“We continue to urge people to avoid speculation on social media or sharing posts that could ultimately add to the family’s distress.”
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Upon arrival, crews discovered a child in serious condition. He was already receiving medical attention from police colleagues.
“The ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, it became apparent that nothing could be done to save the boy and he was confirmed dead at the scene.” .
