A PROMINENT Orange County youth sports coach has been arrested for alleged s*xual misconduct with a minor.
Chris Flores, 37, was arrested in Bakersfield on multiple counts of s*xual assault of a minor Wednesday morning, Santa Ana police said.
Arrested and Charged
Chris Flores, a prominent youth sports coach in Orange County, has been arrested on allegations of s*xual assault involving a minor.
This comes as allegations of grooming and inappropriate contact with girls surfaced last week, KTLA reported.
KTLA released a recording of a phone call purportedly between him and a girl.
Flores allegedly pressures the girl to join him on a date on the call, asking if she was “sure you got rid of everything,” KTLA said.
Investigation
STARS SOCAL and STARS Prepatory Academy released a statement Wednesday saying it had “cut all ties” with Flores and was cooperating with an investigation by local officials.
“We all still have a lot of questions, and right now, there aren’t a lot of answers,” he read in the statement.
“One thing for certain is this: we are a family; our students, staff, and our partners. Families overcome challenges by healing together.”
