Cam Anthony Biography
Cam Anthony is a singer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who appeared on season 20 of The Voice. He is a member of Team Blake.
Cam grew up in North Philadelphia and turned to music as an escape from the violence and crime he faced in the city. He learned at an early age how to control his voice and honed his skills in the church choir. At age 11, Cam’s life changed forever after a video of him singing a Bruno Mars song went viral. Later, Cam was invited to open for Patti LaBelle, sing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and even perform at the White House for the annual Easter Egg Roll.
At age 12, Cam signed with Dr. Dre. and he spent the rest of his teens recording and acting. His contract recently ended, and Cam is ready to take full control of his art and continue to make a name for himself on the Voice stage.
He released his first single “How Can I Forgive Ya” in 2016. He released “Leave Your Troubles” in 2019. Cam appeared on Carter’s 2020 songs “Music Makes Me” and “Take Your Love.”

Voice auditions
Cam first surprised coaches with his rendition of Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down.” Nick Jonas was the first to turn around. John Legend was doing the same, but Nick used his lock on John. Blake Shelton also turned around. Despite Nick’s praise, Cam went with Blake as his coach. Cam went on to perform with Emma Caroline at the Battle Rounds, and they performed a beautiful duet of “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay. Cam defeated Emma and advanced towards the Knockouts.
Cam Anthony, 19, will take the stage on The Voice once again for the Knockout Rounds on April 26. He will sing “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone for her performance of Knockouts. He confronts Connor Christian.
