Jameel Tremain Decquir’s arrest report said that he and the other three people were waiting to board an American Airlines flight to Chicago. Miami-Dade police responded to the scene, but no victims were interested in pressing charges, police told Local 10 News. One person, identified as Jameel Tremain Decquir, 20, of Chicago, Illinois, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Police identified three other suspects, who were still at large at the time of the report.
“The victim did not want to press charges. However, one person was arrested for disorderly conduct, ”Miami-Dade police said in an email to the Miami Herald. “The victim was treated by the Miami-Dade Fire Department for minor injuries and released at the scene.”
Police alleged in court documents that the fight started when Decquir struck one of the victims in the face as the victim was walking away from the counter. The fight split into two separate groups, which according to police involved four suspects and three victims.
One of the male victims protected a female victim with her body, lying on the ground to protect her while a suspect repeatedly kicked and hit her, police said.Police said the victims did not know how the fight started. An injury to one of the victims included a cut inside her mouth. The victim did not request further medical treatment.
Decquir was charged with causing disruptions to the operations of American Airlines and the airport, according to court documents. The victims suffered minor injuries. The other three suspects were identified in Dequir’s arrest record as Gewone Ross, 24, Terrell Barnes, 25 and Deante Jones, 23. The other three suspects have not been charged. Police wrote that the four people were “clearly the main assailants.” The video helped police identify Decuir, police wrote.
