Who was Caleb Ingelhart?
An 11-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a suspected drunk driver struck him while riding his bicycle and dragged him 50 feet down a Colorado street.
Caleb Ingelhart was only two minutes from his house when he tried to cross the street but was hit by the truck at a junction.
Driver Hector Garcia is accused of not immediately noticing Caleb, and bystanders say he continued driving 50 feet before stopping in Aurora on June 10.

Passersby lifted the boy’s truck and a woman pulled him out, according to police.
The boy suffered a skull fracture, brain hemorrhage, scapula fracture, deep cuts to the bones, trauma to the neck tendons, road rash and other injuries as a result.
Caleb’s mother Deborah told The Denver Channel: ‘You wish you could do something. It is difficult when you watch your son scream for three hours because he is in so much pain.
“He needs to stay a kid and get back on that bike.”

Bob Ingelhart, 60, Caleb’s great-uncle, said: “His injuries are horrible and it’s a miracle he’s alive.
‘His face was swollen from him, he was in a neck brace and had deep scratches on his skin.
Passersby are truly the heroes here. They teamed up, saved Caleb’s life, and detained the driver and kept him under control.
Caleb was riding his bike on a North Chambers Road sidewalk and was using the crosswalk when he was struck at 7:30 p.m. on June 10, according to the documents.
Arrest
The driver was arrested for vehicular assault, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and failing to yield to a pedestrian.
An affidavit said that after the collision, the 32-year-old driver turned right and continued north.
He allegedly dragged the boy and his bike under his GMC Jimmy SUV for a “considerable distance,” police said, as witnesses yelled and honked for him to stop.

According to an arrest affidavit, a witness told police that he saw the man hide a “drink can of some kind” in the back of the vehicle before leaving to help the boy.
The affidavit says he denied this claim and that he was drunk, but later told officers that he drank with his co-workers before hitting the boy and “maybe two Smirnoffs.”
Bob said Caleb is now recovering at home, but he still “has periods with a lot of pain.”
