Who is Zan Barnes?
Zan Barnes is the wife of Ashley Barnes, she is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Premier League club Burnley.
Barnes previously played for Paulton Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Oxford United, Salisbury City, Eastbourne Borough, Torquay United, and Brighton & Hove Albion. He was capped with Austria at the international youth level, making an appearance for his under-20 team in 2008, but his application for Austrian citizenship was rejected in 2019.
As a child, Barnes played for Bath Arsenal, where his teammates included future pro Scott Sinclair. He began his senior career as a prolific scorer with local Southern League club Paulton Rovers. He had an extended trial with the championship club Plymouth Argyle in March 2007 and was impressed enough to receive an eighteen-month contract with the club, having scored several goals for the reserve team. He made his debut at Plymouth in the first round of the League Cup in August 2007 against Wycombe Wanderers, replacing first-team regular Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

Ashley Barnes Arrested – Charges
Burnley forward Ashley Barnes was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence hours after the Clarets secured their Premier League status. The forward was taken into custody by police in the early hours of Tuesday May 11, following Burnley’s victory at Fulham the night before.
Barnes was a late substitute in the win at Craven Cottage and was pulled over by Cheshire police near his Wilmslow home around 3 a.m. and later charged with driving under the influence. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 14, reports the Irish Sun.
Burnley confirmed that the 31-year-old, an unused substitute in the loss to Liverpool on Wednesday night, will be the subject of an internal investigation. A statement from Burnley read: “Burnley Football Club is aware of a police incident involving one of their players, Ashley Barnes.
“As a club with strong values and a strong community spirit, Burnley FC upholds and expects the highest standards of responsible behavior from all its players and staff. Therefore, while observing the conclusion of the legal proceedings, the club will treat this matter with the utmost seriousness.
“The player will be subject to internal disciplinary procedures as a result. Burnley Football Club will not comment further. Cheshire Police said: “At around 3 am on Tuesday May 11, officers stopped a black Mercedes V2. The driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence. Ashley Luke Barnes of Wilmslow was later charged. “
