Troy Arthur Phillips, a manhunt was underway near the Georgia-Florida line early Sunday morning after a shooting broke out in Georgia Saturday night, in which a deputy sheriff was reportedly killed and a second officer was injured.

The seriously injured Decatur County deputy was airlifted to a hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. He reported after Tallahassee WTXL-TV was shot under one of his arms.
The second MP from neighboring Seminole County, Georgia, suffered a non-life threatening injury, the station reported.
None of the deputies was immediately identified. The filming took place in Brinson, Decatur County, according to WTXL.

Authorities alerted a suspect named Troy Arthur Phillips, 40, saying he was “possibly armed and dangerous.” The suspect’s brother, who was not identified, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting, WTXL reported.
The two MPs were in a car chase when the suspects’ vehicle drove from Seminole County to Decatur County near the Florida state line, the station reported.
According to WTXL, both MPs were shot with a .30 caliber rifle.
