Who is Tory councillor?
A conservative councilor has been arrested and charged for alleged crimes of child s*xual abuse.
Michael Green, 70, is a Scottish Conservative Councilor for the Glenrothes North, Leslie and Markinch district on the Fife Council.
He has been charged with two crimes, one in 2006 and one in 2011.
Arrested-Charged
A Scottish police spokesman said: “A 70-year-old man has been arrested and charged with two separate incidents of unrecent s*xual offenses against children, which took place in 2006 and 2011 in the Glenrothes and Leslie areas.
“He has been released with a commitment to appear in court at a later date. A report will be sent to the tax attorney. ”
A spokesman for the Scottish Conservatives said the party has suspended Green.
He said: “Councilman Mick Green was suspended when we learned of a police investigation that resulted in the filing of charges.”
