Timothy Brehmer, 41, is charged with strangling nurse Claire Parry, 41, in the parking lot of a Dorset pub on May 9.
A married police officer sobbed “what my mother is going to say” after murdering his lover when she revealed their affair, a court heard today. The topless officer was seen with a visibly injured left arm and blood on his shorts.
When asked what had happened, the sobbing Brehmer replied, “We have had an affair for years.
“She made me meet her, she would tell my wife that I was going to lose my son.
“I met her here, she checked my phone … I wanted to tell my wife.”
What will mom say?”
In the back of an ambulance, Brehmer continues: “She didn’t want to get out of the car, she just wanted to kill myself.”
They told the court that Brehmer told a paramedic: “What will my mother say?” and repeatedly told them “I was so, so angry.”
Footage from the hospital showed Brehmer saying, “I’m a good man,” “I think he stabbed me.”
Her wish to commit suicide was also known, she told herself.
Paramedic Samer Al-khateb explained in court that Claire had blood on her face and color around her neck.
Her colleague James Best said he realized he knew Claire after finding her NHS ID.
Describing his position in the car, he told the court: “It looked like someone had fallen asleep with their head against the door, then the door was opened.
“His lips were blue, I knew he wasn’t breathing. I checked his pulse and he didn’t.
“I found her NHS card and found out it was Claire. I met Claire from work while we were socializing earlier, but that was a long time ago.
“Knowing that the people at the hospital would know her, I contacted the liaison team.”
Martin Brown, PC of the Dorset Police Department, told jury he recognized Brehmer when he was called to the scene.
He added: “I said [to my colleague] doesn’t this guy look like Tim Brehmer?” And when I got closer, he looked more like Tim.
“I said, ‘Are you okay Tim? What happened? ‘And he looked at me and said’ I don’t remember ‘and started crying hysterically. ”
The court had previously heard Brehmer tell Frau Martha around noon that she was having steaks planned for a family barbecue later that day.
About three hours later, he received a message on his husband’s phone: “I’m cheating on you.”
The court was informed that Claire had sent the text message to Martha after he became “angry and upset” with his lover.
She reportedly discovered that Brehmer was doing business with at least two other women and was nicknamed “Mr. Suave ”for her number of lovers.
One of them, DC Kate Rhodes, told jurors that she “fell in love with him quickly” but ended the relationship when she found out he was married.
She said he later “made her feel like a piece of meat” by texting her while on vacation with her husband, calling her “dirty” and suggesting that they meet up for sex.
Brehmer, 41, of Hordle, Hampshire, denies the murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
He claims he was “trying to get her out of the car” when Claire died.
The process continues.
