Teddy Guzman Wiki
Teddy Guzman Biography
Prosecutors have filed new charges against a Rapid City man who is accused of sexually assaulting several girls.
The Rapid City Tribune reported that a Pennington County jury convicted Teddy Guzman, 38, of three cases of first-degree rape Thursday for sexually assaulting three girls under the age of 13.
Teddy Guzmán has a pattern of how he rapes children and victims have no reason to make false accusations against him that resulted in more than three years of invasive interrogation and physical examinations, a prosecutor argued Wednesday.
The newspaper reported that prosecutors charged him Wednesday with sexually assaulting a fourth girl in 2015 and 2016 when she was 13 and 14 years old. Investigators learned of her after police began investigating Guzmán in 2017, but she was unwilling to testify when the other three girls’ cases came to trial last year. Prosecutor Lara Roetzel said that she has since found the strength to advance her case.
Guzmán is expected to be sentenced in her first case on June 8. He must face life in prison. He first appeared in the new case on Friday. Judge Sarah Morrison ordered a loan of $ 500,000.
“Have a nice day,” Guzmán told Morrison as she left the audience.
No calls were made to the Guzmán law firm on Saturday.
