Who is Tahra Ahmed ?
A woman who volunteered with victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster has denied sparking racial hatred on Facebook after allegedly making two anti-Semitic posts over two years.
Tahra Ahmed, 51, is said to have posted racist posts on her account between January 26, 2016 and January 26, 2018, she listened to Old Bailey.
The charges allege that Ahmed posted material that was “threatening, abusive or insulting with the intent to arouse racial hatred or, in all the circumstances, whereby racial hatred was likely to be fueled”.wikipedia
Ahmed, who ran workshops for those affected by the Grenfell tragedy, appeared in court in a red blouse and formal black pants.
He was allowed to sit in the back of the court and plead not guilty to two counts of posting written material to incite racial hatred. His trial has been set for January 5 next year.
Tottenham’s Ahmed was released on bail before trial.
