Suellen Miguez Wiki

                                  Suellen Miguez Biography

A Brazilian kingpin and his gang face jail today after they were caught with the largest amount of chemsex drugs seized in the UK.

Suellen Miguez, 35, and her associates fueled the clandestine chemsex trade through an elaborate network of mopeds and WhatsApp groups.

Miguez was sentenced along with Isabella Braga Da Silva, 22, and her boyfriend Bernardo Salles, 27, who called themselves “modern Bonnie and Clyde.”

High-end merchants spent tens of thousands of pounds on designer items, with over £ 50,000 spent at stores such as Prada, Louis Vuitton and Harrods.

They also rented properties through Airbnb to store drugs for a few days at a time to avoid detection.

Customers were offered a ‘narcotics menu’ to choose from, including cocaine, ecstasy and the drug chemsex GBL, with passengers disguised as DHL deliverymen dropping off within 10 minutes of placing an order.

The police crushed the operation when they stopped one of the moped delivery men for a routine driving issue.

Drug gang convicted of a series of crimes

Suellen Miguez, of Upper Norwood, Libardi Da Silva, of Bristol, and Braga Da Silva, of Brixton, denied but were convicted of five counts of conspiracy to supply a controlled Class A drug, six counts of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of Class B and three counts of conspiracy to supply a Class C controlled drug.

Salles, of Docklands, East London, admitted seven counts of conspiracy to supply a Class B controlled drug and two counts of conspiracy to supply a Class C controlled drug.

Miguez further denied and was convicted of one count of criminal property removal and one count of criminal property acquisition.

Libardi Da Silva and Salles each denied and were convicted on one count of criminal property acquisition.

Andre Alvez, from Streatham, South London and Thanaira, no fixed address, both denied and acquitted of five counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, six counts of conspiracy to supply class B drugs and three counts of conspiracy to supply drugs Class C Drugs.

Andre was also acquitted of three counts of money laundering.

The jury was unable to reach verdicts against two other alleged members of the circle: Andre Alves, 22, and his sister Thainara Alves, 25.

But the Alves brothers were acquitted today of a series of drug supply charges after a retrial at the Inner London Crown Court.

Later, police officers seized drugs worth more than £ 3 million, recovered mobile phones used to operate a dedicated ‘drug line’ and evidence of at least £ 2.4 million in transactions.

Last year, an Inner London Crown Court jury convicted Miguez and three others, including 22-year-old Isabella Braga Da Silva, of a total of 14 drug offenses and seven counts of money laundering.

Braga Da Silva and her boyfriend Bernardo Salles, 27, described themselves as a ‘great duo’ in WhatsApp messages and made references to Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.

When Miguez was arrested on July 30, 2018, police found 53 individually wrapped bags of heroin in her purse.

Detectives seized drugs such as MDMA, methamphetamine, LSD, cocaine, ketamine, GBL, and cannabis from storage lockers in King’s Cross, Hoxton, Southwark, and Battersea.

They also recovered false identity documents and £ 40,000 in cash from a Novotel hotel room in Docklands.

Peter Finnigan, QC, prosecutor, said a 10-page staff manual was seized, including a code of conduct with performance-based pay incentives. The manual said that it was essential that each delivery take “only 10 minutes.”

The manual added: ‘The goal of the company is to be number one. We count on your professionalism to achieve it and always grow in income, and thus increase your salary and bonuses. ‘

Judge Nigel Seed, QC, will sentence Miguez, Braga Da Silva, Salles and Carlos Libardi Da Silva, 35, on a date to be determined.

Earlier, Finnigan told jurors: “It was nothing less than a high-tech drug delivery service operating here in London. Customers would place their orders on a dedicated drug line number.

Who is Mr Finnigan?

Finnigan said a key part of the deal was the use of Airbnb and storage facilities throughout the capital where the drugs would be stored and packed.

He said: ‘The money trail in this case strongly supports the fact that Souellen Miguez was at the top of this conspiracy.

“As you would expect from someone who played a leading role in the conspiracy, he was getting more money than his co-defendants.”

Da Silva worked in an office matching couriers with clients across London and the cell site data put her with other members of the group.

Finnigan said they got involved through Salles and that they saw themselves as a ‘modern day Bonnie and Clyde’.

He added: ‘Miss Braga Da Silva sends you a message saying:’ I will be a great wife, mother, girlfriend, secretary lol ‘.

‘Then there’s a reference to being paid £ 3,000, Salles says’ I’m not the boss yet ‘before Miss Braga Da Silva responds with’ Pablo scobarrr ‘which is believed to be a reference to Pablo Escobar.’

Carlos Libardi Da Silva, described as “a trusted lieutenant” of Miguez, helped launder the money and organized the mail together with Salles.

‘The key to its success was the use of technology coupled with careful planning and attention to detail.

The police investigating his activities had a stroke of luck when one of his moped delivery men was arrested for a routine driving issue.

Drugs were discovered but also, more importantly, his phone was seized. Police discovered a number of WhatsApp groups that were concerned about the way drugs were distributed and accounted for. ”

Delivery drivers were also told to be courteous and “behave with the proper posture.”

The manual also stated that the drug trafficking network had the “help of former police officers and a lawyer who informs us and helps us to build working security structures.”

No sentencing date has yet been set.
