Journalist Tara Morgan reported on Twitter that a lawyer for Stone Foltz’s family says the 20-year-old “is undergoing an organ donation after a hazing incident, which Bowling Green State University. BGSU is committed not only to student conduct and police investigations, but also to a full investigation of the prevention and enforcement responsibilities of each Greek chapter under University policies prohibiting hazing. These University policies and processes have been established to set high expectations and standards and to enforce compliance and ensure the safety of all students. This morning, we began meeting with our student leaders to decide the short- and long-term future of fraternity and sorority life at BGSU. In the next few days, we will also be reviewing all the other student organizations.

“The International Fraternity is horrified and outraged by this incident. The Fraternity has a zero tolerance policy towards illegal activities, substance abuse, harassment and hazing of any kind. Let us reiterate in the strongest terms: We refuse to defend or tolerate any behavior that creates dangerous environments or situations for our members or the university community at large in any of our more than 200 chapters in the United States and abroad. ”

The statement continues: “We immediately put this chapter on administrative suspension and advise its leaders to cooperate fully with the University administration and the local police. As more details are confirmed, we will also pursue the permanent suspension of Delta’s Beta Chapter, as well as the expulsion of all Chapter members from the International Fellowship. ”
