Stephanie Grisham Biography
Who is Stephanie Grisham ?
Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who spent most of her four years in the Trump administration working for first lady Melania Trump, has changed her mind about her once good friend.
In a bombshell that will tell the tale early next month, Grisham compares the former first lady to “the doomed French queen” Marie Antoinette: “Disdainful.” Defeated. Separated.’
Grisham was the only person in the Trump administration to serve as a senior aide in both the East and West wings of the White House.
Grisham’s book, ‘I’ll Take Your Questions Now,’ also revealed that the former first lady allegedly knew about the January 6 riot earlier than previously thought, and refused to make a public statement denouncing minutes after supporters of her husband broke into the United States Capitol Building.
Instead, she prepared for a photoshoot with a rug that she selected.
At 1:25 p.m. That day, shortly after the MAGA rioters entered the Capitol, Grisham texted Melania asking if she wanted to condemn the violent demonstrations, Grisham wrote in the excerpt obtained by Politico.
“Do you want to tweet that peaceful protests are a right for all Americans, but that there is no room for anarchy and violence?” she asked.
‘No.’ Melania responded a minute later, according to the book.
Grisham said her response “broke” it.
She left the White House shortly after in the Capitol riots.
She was serving as the first lady’s chief of staff at the time.
The timing of Grisham’s text to Melania also seems to question the timeline of the White House events that day.
An hour later, on January 6 at 2:24 p.m., former President Donald Trump lashed out at his Vice President Mike Pence on Twitter, claiming that he “ did not have the courage to do what should have been done to protest against our country and our Constitution. ”
Meanwhile, angry Trump supporters chanted ‘Hang Mike Pence’ in the hallways and outside.
Security video from that day shows Pence and his family being taken out of the Capitol just two minutes later.
But the White House claimed that Trump did not know that Pence was in danger.
Grisham’s account seems to contradict the White House’s claims that former President Donald Trump did not know Vice President Mike Pence
Grisham’s memoir, titled ‘I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw at the Trump White House,’ will be published Oct. 5 by Harper Collins.
Grisham did not hold a single press conference in the eight months of her as the White House press secretary.
Grisham also writes that she was ‘shocked’ that Melania shared the former president’s opinion that the 2020 election was stolen.
“Something bad happened,” Melania told her regarding the election, and she allegedly refused to listen to Grisham’s denials of a major conspiracy to oust Trump from office.
Melania eventually released a statement condemning the Capitol riot on January 11.
“I implore people to stop violence, never make assumptions based on a person’s skin color or use different political ideologies as the basis for aggression and cruelty,” she wrote.
But in addition to condemning the violence, the former first lady also chose to denounce “lewd gossip, unwarranted personal attacks and false and misleading accusations against me, from people who seek to be relevant and have an agenda.”
A few days earlier, on January 8, her close ex-friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff published a scathing opinion piece in which she lamented her “blindness” to “the depth of her deception and lack of common decency of hers. ”
Later, after the attack, Grisham writes, she asked Melania about preparing a traditional housewarming tea with the incoming first lady, Dr. Jill Biden.
The event had been a long-standing tradition for incoming and outgoing first ladies.
Melania reportedly shrugged off her suggestion and told her to “watch what the west wing does.”
Melania and Jill’s tea never took place.
DailyMail.com has been told that Grisham “knows where all the skeletons are” in the Trump White House.
“She goes for it, she tells the truth about her and lets the chips fall where they can,” a source close to the publication told DailyMail.com. ‘She knows all the skeletons in various closets and she is opening doors. But she has also warned him that the Trumps are going to fight back hard.
Grisham was once very close to Melania Trump.
The two women frequently texted and Melania Trump brought Grisham back to the east wing, keeping her in the Trump White House, after Mark Meadows ousted her as press secretary when she became chief of staff.
Since she left the White House, Grisham has kept quiet and there was no indication that she wrote about the Trumps, unlike former aides like Kellyanne Conway, who had a well-known book deal on the Trump White House.
“ She has deliberately kept a low profile since she resigned from the White House. She wanted to process her experience and what she meant. She now she is looking at her experience from a distance and she wants people to know what the Trump White House really was like, especially since he is considering running again, ” said the source of the publication.
Grisham began working on the Trump presidential campaign in 2015 as a press fighter.
She followed the Trumps to the White House, joining Melania in the east wing to oversee her communications. From June 2019 to April 2020, Grisham served as the White House press secretary, before returning to the east wing as Melania’s chief of staff.
A former colleague of Grisham’s in the west wing told Axios, who first reported on the book launch: “ When I heard this, all I could think of was Stephanie surrounded by a lake of gasoline, lighting a match with a smile on his face. ”
Her ‘top secret’ memories of her were kept a secret until the news broke with only a month to go.
A statement sent to Politico by Melania’s office criticized Grisham personally and professionally.
‘The intention behind this book is obvious. It’s an attempt to redeem herself after poor performance as a press secretary, failed personal relationships, and unprofessional behavior in the White House. Through falsehood and betrayal, she seeks to gain relevance and money at the expense of Ms. Trump, ” she wrote her office.
