Sharode Snell Biography – Sharode Snell Wiki
Sharode Snell, three people, including a 17-year-old girl, were charged last week in New Jersey with alleged two-month-old starvation twins, one of whom died.
The Camden County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that the baby died on July 8, 2019, shortly after authorities discovered that he was unresponsive in a Clementon apartment, NJ.com reported. The deceased boy’s twin sister was hospitalized after doctors found that she was also very underweight and had several broken ribs.
According to NJ.com, 36-year-old Joy Wilson told police she was the twins ‘legal guardian and that they would be staying with the boys’ parents, 22-year-old Sharode Snell and a 17-year-old girl.
The boy’s autopsy, which ended in July this year, showed that he died not from a genetic disease but from starvation. The coroner ruled his death a murder.
Wilson, Snell and the 17-year-old were charged with second-degree manslaughter, second-degree child harm, and second-degree aggravated battery. Wilson was arrested in Lindenwold on November 18, while Snell and the teenager were arrested in North Carolina on Monday.
Authorities have not publicly named the 17-year-old suspect due to her age. Attorneys did not identify the deceased boy in their statement, but Camden County Acting Attorney Jill Mayer said the surviving brother was “successful and safe.”
