She was arrested at the Broome airport on August 24, where she yelled at officers and refused to cooperate.

Reid, who represented herself in court, said she was doing what she “thought was right.”

Judge Sharratt said that he accepted that Reid had made a mistake, but that it was unreasonable and unacceptable.

‘I accept that she didn’t just jump over the fence and say’ I’ve had enough of this. ‘ She thought she was okay medically, she thought she was okay legally, ” she said.

He fined her $ 2,500 before releasing her from custody.

But the fine was increased by another $ 6,000 on Monday after Reid faced four new charges for failing to comply with an address, stemming from CCTV footage.
