Who is Semina Halliwell ?
A “beautiful and funny” girl took her own life after months of physical and online harassment following her rape, her mother said.
12-year-old Semina Halliwell died on June 12 after spending four days in the hospital after months of torment.
She was ‘traumatized’ by the online abuse after the sex crime on February 25, hers Rachel Halliwell said.
And she was physically attacked twice in parks near her home in Southport, Merseyside, in April.

Shocking images shared by Ms Halliwell show her daughter being beaten, kicked and dragged across the floor by a group of girls.
Ms Halliwell told the Liverpool Echo: ‘I want the whole country to see what my daughter went through.
‘I won’t stop until she gets justice for my baby. She will never be forgotten. ‘
She said people have continued to leave horrible messages on social media even after her daughter’s funeral in June.

Semina was hit, kicked and dragged across the floor in parks near her home in Southport, Merseyside, in April.
Labor MP Apsana Begum raised Semina’s case in a parliamentary committee on June 23.
She asked Education Secretary Gavin Williamson what else can be done to protect young children from sexual harassment and abuse.
Ms. Begum said: “I wanted to highlight the case of Semina, that she was 12 years old and revealed that she had been raped and committed suicide.”
Ms. Halliwell is now creating a charity to raise awareness about bullying and bullying online.
Merseyside Police confirmed that she is investigating a rape report and other allegations related to the same alleged victim.

A spokesperson said: ‘We are continuing to investigate a rape report in Southport in February this year, and a series of allegations relating to the same alleged victim received before and after his tragic death.
On March 23, a report was received that a 12-year-old girl had been raped at an address in Southport on February 25.
An investigation was launched and a minor voluntarily went to a police station to be interviewed.
“Extensive investigations are underway into this allegation and other matters related to the same alleged victim, and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.”
