Cause of Death
Scottie, 55, broke the news on Instagram, sharing a photo slideshow of him and his son. The former Chicago Bulls player did not confirm Antron’s cause of death.
“It breaks my heart to share that yesterday I said goodbye to my firstborn Antron,” he wrote.
Scottie continued: “We both shared a love of basketball and had countless conversations about the game. Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn’t had it, I really think he would have made it to the NBA. put off: Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I’m so proud of the man he became. ”
Scottie also asked his followers to keep Antron’s mother, his ex-wife Karen McCollum, “and all his family and friends in their thoughts and prayers. A kind heart and a beautiful soul left too soon. I love you, son, rest easy until we meet again. ”
Scottie was married to McCollum from 1988 to 1990.
