Ms. Johnson, the self-described “Oxford Black Panther”, had previously asked that people accused of racism be placed on a sex offender-style “racial offender registry”. The youth worker and café owner gained attention over the summer as a prominent figure in a series of BLM protests.

He has since helped found the Taking the Initiative Party.

He sits on the party’s executive committee as a member in charge of activism. Speaking to MailOnline about the party’s proposals, Johnson said the list of racial crimes would be intended to protect minority groups from racist abuse and other discriminatory behavior.

“It’s similar to the sex offender registry,” she said.

“If you were to racially abuse someone, [the registry] would question whether someone is fit enough to hold a particular job where their bias could influence someone else’s life.”

She said being included on the list would prevent people from being able to work in “certain fields” or even live in certain areas.

“If you live in a neighborhood of majority of color, you should not reside there because it poses a risk to those people,” she said.

“Just like if a sex offender lived next door to a school, it would be a risk for those children.”

She went on to call for blacks in Britain to be redressed through tax breaks, and also expressed her support for removing funds from police departments, although TTIP has ruled out the latter. Johnson said the proposal for a racial crime registry had been presented to TTIP at a party conference attended by BLM activists.

Black Lives Matter has sought to distance itself from groups like TTIP.

She has also said that she was not behind attempts in October to register a political party using the BLM name.
