His kick tied the Vanderbilt-Tennessee score at 7-7 at 1:50 to play in the first quarter.
He fled the field with a big smile with his family in the stands, all arms raised. An official gave the ball to Fuller from the sideline.
Last month, Fuller became the first woman to participate in a Power 5 college football game when the Commodores played in Missouri on November 28. She opened the second half with a kick, but never had a chance to score. Vanderbilt was ejected from the Tigers 41-0.
Fuller, a senior goalkeeper on the Vanderbilt soccer team, joined the soccer team in late November after helping the Commodores win the Southeastern Conference tournament. The COVID-19 protocols and restrictions have left a limited number of specialists against Missouri for Vandy’s soccer coach Derek Mason.
