Friends have been paying tribute online after a former company director was found dead at his home in Somerset.

Although no formal identification has yet been made, mourners paying their respects online have named the victim as Sarah Ashwell Joice, 47.

One woman wrote: ‘I can’t understand this at all … this world is just horrible.

‘My love and thoughts with her children not only now, but forever and with her family … heartbreaking news.’wikipedia

Another wrote: ‘RIP Sarah always remembers our laughs at work, now you are in the arms of angels, my friend, until we meet again.’

Friends and mourners took to social networks to pay their respects to the former director of the company Sarah

And another wrote: ‘I can’t believe what I’m hearing, shocked and saddened.

‘Good memories from our childhood that I will treasure.

“Rest, angel, now you are at peace.”

Investigation

It comes after police launched a murder investigation following the discovery of her body at a property on South Street, Wells, around 2.30pm Sunday.

Formal identification of the victim has yet to be made and her cause of death has yet to be established, police said.

However, the death is being treated as suspicious and two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

There is a police cordon around South Street as investigations into the incident continue.

Cause of Death

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: ‘Police are at an address on South Street, Wells, following the discovery of a woman’s body.

Officers were called to the property by ambulance service shortly after 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

While the cause of the woman’s death has yet to be formally established, detectives are currently treating her as a suspect and a murder investigation has been launched.

‘Formal identification has not yet been carried out, but the woman’s immediate relatives have been informed and are receiving support. Our hearts go out to them.

“Two men were arrested overnight on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody this morning, Monday.”

With a population of around 12,000, Wells is a popular area of Somerset with a historic center and city status due to its grand cathedral.

The town is often used as a base for visitors to places like Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Kilver Court Gardens, and Glastonbury Abbey.

Avon and Somerset Police have urged anyone with a dash cam or phone pictures of South Street over the weekend who can help, or anyone who has seen or heard anything suspicious in the area, to call 101 and give the reference 5221261875.
