Secret apartment behind the mirror

Samantha was shot in the spotlight after she uploaded a four-part series to TikTok where she shared the very creepy story of how she found an apartment hidden behind her bathroom mirror.
In the first part of the series, she told viewers that her New York apartment was always very cold and that she wanted to try to find out why. After checking a hole in the wall and a vent and finding nothing, she concluded that the wind must be coming from the mirror.
This is where she gets creepy. She then she moved the mirror to find a small hole behind it that led to a hidden room.
Samantha Hartsoe Part 2
After enlisting the help of some friends and finding a mask, hammer, and torch, she bravely climbed up the hole and discovered that it was not just a hidden room, it was actually an entire three-room apartment.
It was obviously in the process of being renovated before being abandoned, and she found there were “some signs of life,” including some garbage bags and a bottle of water, but luckily there were no squatters.
Samantha Hartsoe Part 3
In part 3, she continued walking around the hidden apartment and finally found the front door that she locked and returned to her own apartment to replace the mirror over the hole.
“I was hoping there was someone, especially with the water bottle in there,” she told Curbed. “And that definitely made me nervous.”
Samantha Hartsoe Part 4
The fourth part of the series was uploaded just 24 hours ago and at the end of the video Samantha said, “My landlord will get a really fun phone call tomorrow.” Therefore, we can only assume that the owner will visit the apartment in the next few days to investigate the hole and probably plug it.
“I think everyone in New York has apartments so small that you don’t know what you’re going to find and everyone expects more space,” Hartsoe said.
