                                    Samantha Cohen Biography

Samantha Cohen, who used to work as a private secretary to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, is a “central” figure in the Buckingham Palace investigation into allegations that the Duchess of Sussex forced royal workers to resign. The Australian native nicknamed “Samantha the Panther” was Queen Elizabeth II’s Deputy Private Secretary before being assigned to work with the Sussexes.

Her mother of three reportedly wanted to quit her job at the Palace in 2018, but she eventually continued to groom the ‘Suits’ star for her real life.

However, in 2019, Cohen from Brisbane resigned from working for a charity dedicated to reducing carbon emissions. He worked for royalty for nearly two decades before resigning to join Cool Earth, a UK-based international NGO that works to protect endangered rainforests to combat global warming, protect ecosystems and provide employment to local people.

At the time, it was said that the reason Cohen left the job was that she was experiencing extreme stress.

Queen’s private secretary is “pivotal” to Palace’s intimidation

Last week, it was reported that the Palace was going to launch an investigation into allegations that Meghan intimidated royal staff and several of them lost their jobs because of her. The names of the workers who will be part of the investigation have not been released, but it has been said that the “internal review” by human resources could hear evidence of up to ten actual employees.

Not only current staff, but former staff as well, will be asked to share their experiences with the couple. The goal of the investigation is reportedly to improve human resource policies at the Palace.

The allegations against Meghan claim that she was behind “kicking out” two APs and shattering the trust of another Kensington Palace staff member. Even a former worker accused the couple of being “scandalous bullies” in The Times. In 2018, the newspaper also reported that one of Meghan and Harry’s top advisers, Jason Knauf, then chief of communications, accused the 39-year-old of intimidating two police assistants “outside the house” and targeting another. At the time, Knauf also expressed concern for Cohen.

“I asked if the household’s policy on bullying and harassment applies to directors (the term used to refer to a member of the royal family),” he added. The current investigation will also reportedly look at why the allegations were not taken seriously at the time despite Knauf raising them numerous times.

A Palace spokesperson said: “We are clearly very concerned about the allegations in The Times following claims made by former The Duke and Duchess of Sussex staff. Consequently, our human resources team will study the circumstances described in the article.

Staff members involved at the time, including those who have left home, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned. The Royal House has had a Dignity at Work policy for several years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace. ”

Another source added: “No deadline has been set, especially since several people do not work for the palace and we have to adapt to that if they want to participate. There will be no need to rush through this. It is a very sensitive issue. The fact that we are doing this and that we have made it clear that we are very concerned about the allegations shows how seriously this is being taken. ”

News of the investigation came amid controversies created by Meghan and Harry’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. In the two-hour special, the duo made several serious revelations, ranging from racism and mental health to Meghan thinking about taking her life while she was five months pregnant with Archie. The Duchess of Sussex said that she “couldn’t stay alone” and told Harry that she “didn’t want to be alive anymore”.

The future mother of a girl also accused the Palace of “perpetuating falsehoods.” “I don’t know how they can expect us to remain silent after all this time if there is an active role the Firm is playing in perpetuating the falsehoods about us. And, if that carries the risk of losing things, I mean, I … there is a lot that has already been lost, ”added Meghan.
