He was detained just a 10-minute drive from where his ex-wife Phoebe Hooke lives with their two young children, Poppy and Billy. The embattled NRL star was supposed to pick up her children at 2 p.m., after missing the first pickup at 9 a.m., according to The Australian.
According to Cydonee Mardon of The Daily Telegraph, Burgess tested positive for a roadside drug test for cocaine and that he has never had a New South Wales driver’s license. The results of the drug test and a subsequent oral fluid test were sent for further analysis by him.
