Authorities say a Massachusetts man accused of killing his parents will face two counts of murder on Friday.
Ryan True, 21, is on trial in Wareham District Court for the deaths of Renee True, 55, and David True, 52, who were found dead in their Middleborough home, a statement said Thursday by the morning. Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz.
It is not known if the suspect had a lawyer.
Police returned home around 6:30 a.m. after receiving a call from David True’s boss saying he had not shown up for work, Police Chief Joseph Perkins said Thursday.
An officer broke into the home and found the bodies.
Later, the police located Ryan True elsewhere. Authorities have not released any motive.
David True worked for an excavation and soil company in Easton, which in a Facebook post described him as “one of the best men we’ve ever met.”
Renee True drove a bus for special education students to city schools, the principal said in a statement.
The murders were Middleborough’s first murders since 2013, Perkins said.
