Local activists are holding the officers involved to account, according to Tory Johnson, a founding member of Black Lives Matter in Huntington Beach.

‘This is what we are fighting against. We are fighting police aggression, whether it is black, brown or purple in color, ”Johnson said. “What we’re saying is that you can’t go around killing minorities, and you can’t treat people in a certain way just because they look different from you, or they don’t fit the mold of the average citizen in our city.”
