NEWS anchor Robb Hanrahan has died at the age of 60, two years after suffering a heart attack that forced him into retirement.

Hanrahan’s cause of death is unknown.
Hanrahan hosted the politics show Face the Nation and retired from the network in 2021, months after suffering a major heart attack.
He went into cardiac arrest in June 2020 and later described it as the “most profound and enlightening experience” he has ever had.
He told Penn Live that there were five doctors around him when he was first arrested.
He said: “I was literally talking to Stacey (his wife) on the phone, and they were looking and laughing, because I was joking with her about [how] they couldn’t find out what was wrong with me.
“And suddenly, I felt the pain start again.”
Hanrahan told Stacey that he had to get off the phone and was later arrested.
Stacey was a meteorologist and deputy news director at CBS 21.
Career
The host had a career spanning more than three decades in journalism, joining CBS 21 in 2010.
He was also a local journalist in New York and reported on 9/11.
Said Hanrahan, “There were some inspiring stories from 9/11, but they were all very emotionally draining, as I recall. Draining. And it was one of the reasons I decided to leave New York.”
Tributes have been paid to Hanrahan when news of his death emerged.
Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman said: “I am deeply saddened by the passing of Robb. I am very grateful to have met him.
“His heart attack two years ago hit me hard, I was very supportive, I was beyond elated with his recovery. Both of our children started kindergarten at the same time.
‘DEEPLY SAD’
“Robb said that ‘the near death experience was’ the most profound and enlightening experience I have ever had.
“My own recent episode makes me feel that his words match deeply and strongly with my own experience.”
Fetterman suffered a stroke in May and told CBS that “he hadn’t taken his health seriously.”
Photographer William Seiders said: “An extremely sad day for myself and my former CBS21News family as we have lost our dear friend Robb Hanrahan.
“He was a true inspiration and mentor to many and I will miss his friendship.”
Emmy-nominated journalist Erika Shych paid a brilliant tribute to Hanrahan.
She said: “I will never forget the first time I hosted a 90 minute show alongside @RobbHanrahan.
