Rob Seddon Biography
Who is Rob Seddon ?
A father of two had to undergo emergency brain surgery and is now in a coma after he was cowardly beaten while trying to help a teenager involved in a horrific car accident.
A 17-year-old driver crashed a Toyota Corolla into a parked Central Coast trailer outside Rob Seddon’s home on Skyhawk Avenue in Hamlyn Terrace Saturday night around 10:15 p.m. m.
Mr. Seddon, 63, who is trained in first aid, went to help the driver along with his son, his son-in-law and a woman.
Attacked
However, they were then attacked by a group of men, Mr. Seddon’s son was punched and his son-in-law suffered a broken nose.
One of the attackers, who is still on the run, also struck Mr. Seddon in the temple, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground.
The unknown group of men then fled the scene while Mr. Seddon lay unconscious.
He was airlifted to hospital before undergoing emergency brain surgery and is currently in a coma.
Police say he is still in critical condition.
Arrested and Charged
The 17-year-old driver was arrested at the scene for allegedly failing an alcohol breath test.
However, although he was charged with various driving offenses, he has not been charged with Mr. Seddon’s assault.
Daily Mail Australia does not suggest that the teenager was responsible for Mr Seddon’s injuries.
Witness Diana Gardner told 9 News the victim made “horrible noises” when he was injured.
“I knew it was bad,” she said. She could hear his pain. She wanted help.
She added that many young people had been at a party near the scene of the accident.
It is still unclear who the men were who attacked Seddon and his family.
Investigators have urged anyone with information about what happened to come forward and contact police.
