Who is Raymond Reese?
Raymond Reese, 51, was arrested in Boca Raton, just north of the palm tree-lined street in Coral Springs, where he allegedly shot Sara Michelle Trost, 40, several times on December 23 around noon while she he sat behind the wheel of his Jeep. preparing to show the house in the 5700 block of Northwest 48th Court to another tenant.
Reese was charged with first-degree murder, according to the sheriff’s department.
Police have not said what motivated the murder, but neighbors say Reese once lived in the home and was upset that he was forced to leave. They believe that he mistakenly thought that Trost was the owner of the house.
‘There was a disgruntled tenant who was evicted. He thought that the realtor, who was showing the house, thought she was the owner of the house, and she was ambushed. She was sitting in her car, ” Donna Smith, who lives in the area, told WPLG Local 10.
The mother of a young daughter, Trost, who is originally from Southend, Essex, spoke openly about gun violence in America and recently posted an anti-gun message on Facebook.
The shooting shook the Florida real estate community.

Trost, leaving behind her husband Jason and her daughter Avery, moved to the United States from England to dedicate her life to real estate, her loved ones said.

Police believe Raymond Reese shot Trost because he had been displaced from his Coral Springs home. Investigators cordoned off the scene after the shooting.
Sadly, his business, which started over the summer, never took off due to his untimely death.
“For all of us who knew Sara, she was larger than life,” wrote his loved ones on his memorial page. There was always a smile on her face and a good word to share. Sara was the most generous and caring person both to those she knew personally and to those whose paths crossed hers. ”
Trost was known to pay the customer’s grocery bill in front of her at the checkout line if he saw them struggling, according to the publication.
She also volunteered at the local animal rescue center.
Chabad of Parkland and real estate agents in Broward and Florida created a fund for Trost to benefit the family.
