Randon Lee Biography
Who was Randon Lee?
The son of a popular TikTok star was selling marijuana when he was shot and killed Friday in Mobile County, police said Monday.
Randon Lee, the 18-year-old son of Ophelia Nichols, died Friday after one of the suspects shot him inside his vehicle as he stopped at a gas station on St. Stephens Road in Prichard, Det. Jason Hadaway told reporters on Monday.
Nichols is known as “Mama Tot” on TikTok, where she posts under the alias “shoelover99” and she has over 7 million followers.
Lee was killed just before his 19th birthday.
Suspect
He and the suspects were stopped in their vehicles at the gas station Friday night when one of the suspects entered Lee’s vehicle and shot him, Hadaway said.
The suspect then got into his vehicle and fled with the other suspects while an injured Lee drove to another gas station, the detective said.
Paramedics were called and Lee was treated at the scene, where he was pronounced dead.
“We know at this time that Mr. L:ee targeted Wilmer and was selling narcotics to these two individuals,” Hadaway said.
Officers found marijuana at the scene.
Hadaway said police “have a couple of suspects in mind” but will not release any information about them.
The detective said one of the suspects had bought drugs from Lee before, but the incident was the first time police became aware that Lee was selling drugs in Prichard.
On Facebook, Nichols posted a message that included a photo of her son.
“Someone else made the decision to end my son’s life,” Nichols said on Facebook. “They are walking around my city, living and breathing while my son is not. While my family and I suffer a loss that no mother should feel, they are free.”
