She added that his “passion and talent as a journalist were unmatched,” and that he worked as a photographer, engineer, editor and producer while working in the field.

Pierre Zakrzewski  and Benjamin Hall worked together in Kabul for Fox last year.

Fox news reporter Lucas Tomlinson shared a photo of himself with Pierre and Oleksandra, who also goes by Sasha, on social media while paying tribute to his colleagues.

He said that the last message he received from Pierre read: “I will strive to broadcast as much of this on television to help Ukrainians in every possible way.” Keep smiling. Pedro.

Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin said he was “deeply disturbed” by the murder of Kuvshinova and Zakrzewski, who was an Irish citizen.

“My thoughts are with their families, friends and fellow journalists,” the taoiseach tweeted.

News that Mr. Hall was injured emerged on Monday, but Ms. Scott did not elaborate.
