The pair exchanged a barrage of rude insults, which eventually escalated into physical violence, with at least one crew member and several other passengers allegedly injured as they tried to lead Cornwall away from the man, who has not been identified.

Video
In video captured by ATL Uncensored, Cornwall is seen angrily confronting the man for not wearing his mask even though he had taken it off to eat.
‘Put on your bloody mask,’ Cornwall tells the man as the pair continue back and forth with one another.
After continually refusing to comply with his demands, Cornwall aggressively tells him ‘stand up!’
Sit down Karen! He yells his response when the flight crew members approach the fighter pair in an attempt to calm them down.
He then demands the crew to help her as she repeatedly barks ‘Tell her to mask herself’
A member of the flight crew also demands that Cornwall put on his mask while he keeps asking her to ask him to put his on.
‘You lower your mask, bitch’, the man responds when he sees his mask lowered below his chin.
‘Did you call me a bitch?’ she asks as she walks over to him.
After he responds “Yes, I did”, she is seen slapping him and scratching him in the face.
‘Now you’re going to jail,’ says the man. That is assault.

The pair had gotten aggressive over the course of the fight as they shouted expletives at one another.
Arrested
The pair continue to yell expletive at each other as a flight attendant begins to push Cornwall away.
She then spits on the man as her assistant and other members of the flight crew try to get her to the back of the plane.
She goes on to ask the flight crew members to have the man put on her mask, as hers still remains under her chin.
I’ll put my mask on when you put the mask on! she yells at herself angrily before being escorted by the flight crew and other passengers.
Cornwall was then detained by police on her arrival after being informed by passengers of what she did during the flight.
She was escorted to the local compound where she remained in custody.
The video has received more than seven million views since it was posted on Twitter on Friday.
In terms of Delta’s mask policy, a mask must be worn at all times during the flight, except when eating, drinking, or taking oral medications.
However, a mask should not stay under the nose and mouth for an extended period of time, as it must be placed correctly between bites.
The only other acceptable reason to remove it is to put on an oxygen mask in an emergency or for medical exemption purposes.
Incident
This flight-related incident comes after Dr. Anthony Fauci told American travelers on Sunday that removing masks from an airplane is ‘not something we should consider’ due to the recent surge in cases and the presence of the new Omicron variant.
“We want to make sure that people keep the mask on. I think the idea of taking off the masks, in my opinion, is not something we should consider, ” Fauci told ABC.
Fauci also mentioned the possibility of a vaccine mandate for air travel as an additional safety precaution.
“The vaccination requirement for a person who gets on the plane is just another level to ensure that people have a mechanism that encourages them to get vaccinated; that is, you cannot get on a plane unless you are vaccinated, which is just another way to obtain requirements, whatever it is, “he said.
‘So I mean, anything that can get people vaccinated more would be welcome. But in regards to the spread of the virus in the country, I mean, I think if you look at the wearing of a mask and the leakage on airplanes, things are reasonably certain. ‘
The Omicron variant has recently seen thousands of flights delayed or canceled over the holiday weekend, leaving passengers stranded at airports across the country.
