Olivia Peters Wiki
Olivia Peters Biography
Who was Olivia Peters ?
NFL player Deshazor Everett turned himself in Tuesday afternoon on involuntary manslaughter charges for his role in a December car crash that killed his girlfriend Olivia Peters.
Security for the Washington Commanders, 29, appeared at the Loudoun County Magistrate’s Office and was released on $10,000 bond.
Death
Everett was driving with Olivia S. Peters on December 23 at around 9:15 p.m. m. in Loudoun County, Virginia, when his car left the right side of the road, he hit several trees and flipped over.
The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office said an investigation concluded Everett was exceeding twice the 45 mph speed limit posted just before the crash, ESPN reports.
Peters, 29, was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. Authorities at the time said they did not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Everett’s attorney released a statement Tuesday saying his legal team plans to “vigorously defend” him against the “accusations.”
The Washington Commanders, formerly known as the Redskins, said: “We are aware of these charges and continue to monitor the situation. We will have no further comment at this time.
Everett was driving a 2010 Nissan GT-R, which has a top speed of 193 mph. He was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries after the crash.
His girlfriend, Olivia Peters, died at a hospital shortly after.
She was the founder and owner of OSP Therapy in Las Vegas, according to her Facebook profile.
“We strive to give children independence in their activities of daily living, as well as a sense of self,” she wrote. ‘We help children develop skills that fill their days in their home and community settings.’
Statement
The day after the fatal accident, her family told WTTG in a statement that Peters’ “passion and sole focus in life was treating special needs and disadvantaged children.”
Peters is a 2010 graduate of Our Lady Of Good Counsel High School. She attended college at the University of South Carolina for a bachelor’s degree and Shenandoah University for her Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
Meanwhile, Everett played college football at Texas A&M and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015 before joining Washington that same year.
Investigation
“Our team continues to investigate this matter because we intend to vigorously defend Mr. Everett against these allegations,” Everett’s attorney, Kaveh Noorishad, said in a statement after Tuesday’s arrest.
“We continue to ask that judgment be reserved until all facts are fully investigated and properly litigated.”
In a two-and-a-half-minute 911 call posted last month, an unidentified man yelled, ‘Help please! Please help!’
The 911 dispatcher is heard asking the man if there are any obvious injuries that he is aware of, but the person he calls ignores the question and continues to call for help.
‘Sir, tell me about the driver. He’s hurt? the dispatcher said, to which the caller replied, ‘I don’t know, I don’t know. I dont know.’
Police identified the deceased victim as 23-year-old Tina Tintor.
Ruggs’ mugshot was released shortly after the accident and shows the now-former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver wearing a neck brace and a cut nose. He arrived at his first hearing in a wheelchair.
The team dropped off Ruggs, 22, just hours before his first court appearance on felony charges of reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death.
If convicted, he could face between two and 46 years in prison, according to Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson.
Ruggs could also face additional charges for a firearm that police allegedly found in the driver’s side of his Corvette.
