Law enforcement sources told TMZ that they are investigating his death as a possible suicide. The Henry County Police Department did not immediately respond to questions from DailyMail.com.
Relatives said they had not heard from the actor since January 23. They filed a missing person report on Wednesday, reports TMZ. They then contacted the OnStar automobile security company, which traced his vehicle to where his body was found that day.
His rep, Tabatha Minchew, told The Wrap: “He wasn’t just a client to me. We’ve been best friends for 10 years. He was at my wedding.
“Everyone who knew him loved him, no one has had anything negative to say about him. When he was around, everyone was so happy. He made everyone so happy. We are all trying to understand it too.
Moseley, who appeared on The Walking Dead from 2012 to 2015, regularly used social media to update his followers and share inspirational quotes.
“You are most powerful when you decide to feel good for no reason,” he wrote on Facebook on January 13.
On January 21, Moseley posted one last post on Instagram. “I’m late but here’s my #10yearchallenge #instagood,” he wrote along with two split photos of himself.
The next day, he asked his followers to wish his mother and father a happy birthday.
Actor Jeremy Palko, who played Andy on the AMC show from 2016 to 2017, posted a photo of himself with Moseley on Twitter Monday afternoon.
‘Heartbroken to learn of the passing of @MosesMoseley Just an absolutely kind and wonderful human being You will be missed my friend. #TWDFamilia’, he wrote.
AMC responded to Moseley’s death with a post on The Walking Dead’s official Twitter.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to our #TWDFamily member, Moses J. Moseley,” the cable network said.
Moseley’s Atlanta-based talent agency, Avery Sisters Entertainment, posted a video tribute to him on Sunday night.

Moseley was born in Aiken, South Carolina, and had just celebrated his 31st birthday on December 23.
