A seven-year-old British schoolgirl nicknamed “the next Greta Thunberg” by her glamorous model mother has become the world’s youngest talker of Ted.

Molly Wright, who was born in the UK but now lives in Australia, recently gave a TED (technology, entertainment and design) talk about the dangers of parents spending more time on their digital devices than paying attention to their children.

She puts the aspiring actress on a list of very high-profile Ted talkers, which includes the likes of Microsoft boss Bill Gates, Hollywood head J.J. Abrams and the richest man in the world, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

And she is an important badge of honor for the young woman, who is the daughter of a British couple originally from the northeast of England.

Her mother, Ally, is an actress and model and a huge advocate for her talented daughter, who already has an IMDB movie credit to her credit, along with her own animal charity campaign.

UNICEF will promote Molly’s seven-minute TED speech and show it to new parents in maternity wards around the world.

There are more than 30 million people who follow TED for its short talks on all areas of knowledge.

“I know it’s important for adults to use their devices sometimes, but kids are hardwired to look for meaningful connections,” Molly says in the speech.

“Our brains grow faster in the early years than at any other time in our lives: connect, talk and play with us.”

“Early and frequent interactions are important,” Molly says at one point in the talk. “Trust me, the seven-year-old here talking about brain science,” she jokes, as the audience laughs.

Molly was suggested for the speech by Thrive for Five, the organization headed by former South Australian Prime Minister Jay Weatherill to campaign for better early education options for children.

She is backed by the Minderoo Foundation, the philanthropic foundation started by mining magnate Andrew Forrest and his wife, Nicola.

Responding to suggestions that she was following the same path as Swedish schoolgirl Greta Thunberg, whose 15-year-old school ‘strike’ to draw attention to climate change became a global phenomenon, Molly told News Limited it would be ‘ a dream come true to do that for early education. ‘

“I feel like it would help so many people,” she said.

‘Molly, I have no words,’ Ally Wright, Molly’s mother, posed on Facebook.

“You are a very special little lady who might actually change the world one day.”

The budding actress already has a profile on the movie database IMDB.com, with a credit in the 2021 TV movie Kidnapped, and management in Australia and the United States.

“Molly is trained in jazz, tap, ballet, acro and aerial dance and has performed on stage at the Home of the Arts Theater,” her biography reads.

“She has a great ear for all accents, she has a reading age of 12 and is taking piano and singing lessons, preferring musical theater and rock.”

An animal lover, Molly also created Molly’s Wildlife Warriors to raise money for the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital on the Gold Coast.

The charity drive’s JustGiving page, which has also been endorsed by fellow child star Charlotte Stent, has raised more than $ 2,000.

“Molly is a seven-year-old actress who has been blessed to spend time with humanitarian and animal activists,” wrote mother Ally on the fundraising site justigivng.com.

“Inspired by what she has seen and heard, and the people around her, she Molly has created a team of 40 wonderful children, who will spend the next few months taking on challenges to raise money for Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.”

Her mother Ally also revealed that Molly would appear in Nine’s A Current Affair.

Molly is supported by an experienced mother behind her, as Ally previously worked in acting and modeling.

Ally moved on to stage and screen after studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, earning a Higher National Diploma in Media and Performance.

She also went on to earn a Bachelor of Art in Drama, graduating with a First.

During her studies, Ally worked as an actress and stage and screen model in both Manchester and London.

She later she had a nine-year career as a teacher and theater director at Fred Longworth High School and Performing Arts College in Tyldesley, a small town situated between Manchester and Wigan.

Ally, who is an amateur runner, has also returned to acting full time since she moved to Australia, and has recently worked on two feature films and three short films.
