Molly Lillard Biography
The daughter of former New York Jets star Al Toon died in a suicide Sunday in Arizona.
Molly Lillard, 28, has been identified as the victim of a shooting in Scottsdale and her husband, Royce Lillard III, has been identified as the gunman barricaded in a house with his wife, police said. Royce Lillard was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Republic of Arizona.
Molly Lillard was rushed to hospital and later died of her injuries, the newspaper reported. Police said the couple’s 8-month-old son was present during the shooting but was not injured.
Molly Lillard was a volleyball star in Wisconsin high school before playing for Michigan. She won two internationals in all conferences and led her team to the playoffs twice.
“I coached her one season at the club before high school and then four years in high school,” former Lillard manager Franco Marcos told the Wisconsin State Journal on Monday. “Connaître la famille et al, c’est vraiment difficult d’entendre une histoire comme cella-la. … C’est sad.
