The heartbroken father of ‘miracle child’ Milli Lucas has written a powerful tribute to his daughter just days after her tragic death at the age of 14 from brain cancer.
The Perth teenager, whose zest for life in the face of a terminal diagnosis touched hearts across Australia, underwent surgery by renowned neurosurgeon Dr Charlie Teo in a high-risk procedure in June 2019.
Doctors in Western Australia had deemed the cancer inoperable, but Dr Teo removed 98 percent of the tumor during a painstaking eight-hour operation in Sydney.
However, the cancer returned in March and on Monday Milli finally succumbed to her illness on Monday, four weeks after celebrating her 14th birthday.

However, Dr. Teo offered to perform the procedure before traveling to Germany to get rid of the remaining two percent.
Milli incredibly went back to school within weeks of her surgery.
The schoolgirl’s rare condition put her at risk of developing various types of cancer, which has also affected her older sister Tess, her mother, and her cousin Beau.
Tess was also diagnosed with a brain tumor, but has since been given the go-ahead, while her mother, who has a family history of cancer, underwent a double mastectomy after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016.
