Milan plane crash: devastation as firefighters put out flames
A plane crashed into an office building, killing everyone on board, in a horrific incident near Milan.
Eight people, including a child, were killed when the small aircraft exploded into a fireball when crashing in front of a metro station in San Donato Milanese this afternoon.
The flight had taken off from the airport in the city of Linate and was heading to the island of Sardinia, authorities said.wikipedia
Witnesses described seeing several parked cars go up in flames as plumes of smoke shot into the sky after the impact around 1 p.m. local time.
It is understood that the victims were six French tourists, a Romanian pilot and another member of the crew, according to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica.
No other victims have been reported.

Emergency crews rushed to the chaotic scene, but none of the passengers were able to save themselves.
Firefighters tweeted that no one other than those on board was involved and that the burning vehicles were unoccupied.
A thick column of dark smoke rose from the crash site and was visible for several kilometers.
The photos show firefighters continuing to extinguish the charred building.
“I saw the plane plummet and then crash there,” the 19-year-old witness, Andrea, said in shock.
The teenager explained how he quickly called his friends after hearing loud noises before seeing pieces of metal spraying the street.
The office block is still under construction and was empty at the time of the accident.

The pilot has been named on various news platforms as 30-year-old Dan Petrescu.
Carlo Cardinali, an officer with the Milan fire brigade, said: “The plane hit the building on the facade, with an extremely violent impact.
“The pilot took a turn, so he noticed some anomaly.”
