Who is Mike Hassini ?
A FORMER Towie star has been jailed after being caught with £144,000 of cocaine.
Mike Hassini, 27, was seen trading a brick of the class A drug, hidden in a cardboard box.

Arrested and Charged

“He must have had some awareness of the scale of the operation.
“You are not the only two young people who are in difficulty as a result of the pandemic, but the people who are in much worse situations than you do not make the decision to commit crime.
“It should be noted that they both knew what they were doing and did it with their eyes wide open.”
Hassini’s Balraj Bhatia QC said: ‘He is a well-known man, a figure of great respect, and therefore the attention the sentence will receive, in terms of the media and social media, is simply more than what would be otherwise.
“Whenever his sentence ends, he will be someone who fell from grace, of a very high level, and he will be known as a drug trafficker.
“He has a very stable and supportive family that lives every day of this custody with him.

Hassini, 26, was living in a cabin with his girlfriend at the time of his arrest.
He admitted to conspiracy to supply a class A drug, possession of cocaine with the intent to supply, and possession of criminal property.
Hassini appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court wearing a black suit and members of his family sobbed in the public gallery as he was taken to the cells.

Hassini, of Brentwood, received a sentence of 6 years and 9 months in prison.
Bear of Hornchurch, both from Essex, received a sentence of 5 years and 3 months after admitting to conspiracy to supply a class A drug and possession of criminal property.
In December 2016, when he was 22 years old, the former reality TV star escaped from jail after being convicted of kicking a custodial officer after crashing his Mercedes while intoxicated.
He was being held at the Charing Cross Police Station when he assaulted Detention Officer Suzanne Werth in the early morning of August 15, 2016.
Hassini had admitted to driving under the influence but was convicted of assault and battery after a one-day trial in Hammersmith Magistrates Court.
He was ordered to perform 180 hours of unpaid work, pay £ 85 in costs and a £ 85 surcharge to the victim. Hassini was also disqualified from driving for 21 months.
