Authorities said a Pennsylvania man “Michael Forman” was drunk on the New Jersey turnpike when his car collided head-on into a pickup truck on Thanksgiving night, injuring him and five other people.
The incident occurred around 9:30 pm. Near Exit 2 of the freeway in Woolwich Township on Thursday, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
Michael Forman, 26, of Sellersville, was driving a car heading south-north near Terminal 11.2 when he collided with a van carrying a pair of Edison and their three children. Word. The car then collided with a concrete barrier before coming to a stop.
Forman and two passengers in a minivan, Fatima Shifan, 36, and Yousef Shifan, 11, both from Edison, were seriously injured and hospitalized on Saturday.
Shifan’s husband, who was driving the truck, and her other two children, ages 6 and 8, were slightly injured. No further details on its terms have been released.
Forman was charged with conduct disorder. On Saturday it was not known whether he had hired a lawyer.
